La Plagne By Car
Getting to Les Coches or Plagne Village by car is a relatively easy drive and as we have our arrivals on a Sunday the roads are almost empty for most of the season. From Calais it takes about 10 hours including a few rest stops on the way. It is toll road nearly all the way to the valley and so easy to navigate. There are full driving instructions in our checklist.
One of the advantages of driving is that if you want to travel on Saturday and stay overnight somewhere close by you can arrive early on the Sunday morning and go straight out for a ski. We are happy to welcome you early and have facilities to store your luggage until the rooms are ready.

Please remember that when driving in France there are slightly differerent laws from the UK, you will need headlamp deflectors, high visability vests in case you break down and also a warning triangle. You will need to have chains in the car. There are points on the roads coming up the mountain called "aire de chainage" which are areas specifically for putting on and taking off snow chains. It is always best to put the snow chains on before attempting a steep mountain road if it is snowing. In France you can buy snow chains at nearly all of the petrol stations but please be aware that on Sundays only the motorway stations will be open, although you can fill up using automated pumps with a card.

| Chalet Campanules
Campanules is situated about .5km above the main village of Les Coches, when you arrive in Les Coches you will reach a roundabout take the 1st exit and carry on up the hill, just after the 5th bend we are on the right hand side. There is a car park just past the chalet. In France the buldings don't have unique postcodes so Sat Nav systems will not be able to find us but if your system allows you to enter longitude and latitude we have put these on the driving checklist which will get you directly to the chalet. |
Chalet Bon Vie
Bon Vie is situated above Plagne centre, when you reach the roundabout in Plagne centre take the last exit and carry on up the hill for 5 bends. On the left you will see a small bubble lift called the Telebus, just past this on the left is a set of steps going down to a group of chalets, we are the 5th chalet, there is plenty of free parking all around the chalet.
