Christmas In Les Coches and Plagne Village, La Plagne

Christmas skiing in Les Coches and Plagne Village is an experience to remember.

There are decorations throughout the resort and a huge, snowy Christmas tree in the pedestrian centre. During the Christmas week Les Coches organises a number of special events including carols, mulled wine evenings and usually a visit from "pere noel".

In Plagne Village there are Christmas decorations and a fun and festive atmosphere, there is a Christmas market in Plagne Centre and an all night new years eve party on the piste in Plagne Bellecote.

Ice and Fire get into the festive spirit too and there will be a tree and decorations in your chalet when you arrive. On Christmas morning you'll awake to a buck's fizz breakfast in the chalet.

Opening

On Christmas day skiing runs as normal with all of the ski lifts, ski schools, shops, childcare services and mountain restaurants open as normal, albeit with a festive atmosphere in the air! La Plagne itself is very welcoming too, and the churches are open to visitors both for midnight mass and during Christmas day.

Celebrations

After a full day of skiing or snowboarding in La Plagne, you'll come back to the chalet to an afternoon tea of mince pies and Christmas cake.

In the evening we begin with a champagne reception followed by a mouth-watering Christmas dinner. We begin with a delicious light starter followed by turkey and all the trimmings for main course. And, if you've still got room, we finish with a choice of traditional Christmas pudding or a lighter dessert. Dinner is followed by freshly brewed coffee served in the lounge by the log fire.

Christmas for Kids

Skiing with children at Christmas is really good fun - and you'll have plenty of time to spend with them on the day because there's no cooking, preparing or washing up for you to do!

We do recommend that you bring the majority of the presents with you as the shops in La Plagne are quite limited for present buying. There is a selection of ski gear and local produce available, as well as a supermarket for stocking up on sweets etc as stocking fillers. Sledges always go down well too as presents for adults and kids alike and we can book massages, ski lessons and activities on your behalf to use as Christmas presents.
