Ice and Fire are now recruiting for Chalet Chefs and Hosts for the 2012-13 winter season.

There is no other experience quite like working a ski season. Working with Ice and Fire offers you the chance to spend a winter season in La Plagne in the beautiful French Alps. You'll have the opportunity to ski or snowboard for 5 months, to meet friends for life, to learn new skills and to live and work in an amazing environment.

Working a season isn't a holiday though. Working in a chalet is tiring both physically and mentally, and requires hard work, dedication and professionalism. You will work as part of a chalet team to provide breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails and canapes and a four course evening meal 6 nights a week. You will be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the chalet as well as organisational jobs such as ordering the food and wine. A warm, friendly and professional welcome of your guests is a must, as is a positive can-do attitude.

Please note that in order to comply with British and French visa regulations all applicants must have a EU or British passport, a UK Bank account and a permanent British national insurance number in order to apply. We accept applications from people applying alone and from couples or friends wishing to work together. All applicants are expected to be available to work the entire of the winter season which is usually from the beginning of December to the end of April.

If you would like to work with us this winter please send a copy of your CV, recent photo, a suggested menu plan (chefs positions) and a covering letter to This email address is being protected from spambots.
