There is no other experience quite like working a ski season. Working with Ice and Fire offers you the chance to spend a winter season in La Plagne in the beautiful French Alps. You'll have the opportunity to ski or snowboard for 5 months, to meet friends for life, to learn new skills and to live and work in an amazing environment.
Working a season isn't a holiday though. Chalet hosting is tiring both physically and mentally, and requires hard work, dedication and professionalism. You will work as part of a chalet team to cook breakfast, afternoon tea, canapes and a four course evening meal 6 nights a week. You will be responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the chalet as well as organisational jobs such as ordering the food and wine. A warm, friendly and professional welcome of your guests is a must.
From August onwards, Ice and Fire will be recruiting chalet hosts/cooks to join our 2011-12 winter team. Successful applicants will have relevant customer service, cleaning and catering experience along with plenty of enthusiasm and a professional approach to their work. Ski season experience, French language skills are advantageous.
Please note that in order to comply with British and French visa regulations all applicants must have a EU or British passport, a UK Bank account and a permanent British national insurance number in order to apply.
