About Us

Ice and Fire is a dynamic new ski company started in 2010 by Heather Morison and Andy Young.

The philosophy behind the company is simplicity. We choose well appointed chalets in snow-sure resorts combined with delicious home-cooking, personally selected wines and friendly, knowledgeable service.

Heather

Heather began working in the ski industry nearly 10 years ago when she took a career break to come out and do a season. She fell in love with the mountains and stayed, working in positions from Chalet Host to General Manager. When she's not working Heather likes to read, spend time with her cat Maya, and of course, to ski.

Andy

After many years working in IT, Andy took a year out to do a ski instructor course in Canada. On returning to the UK he realised that he missed the mountain life and since then he has never looked back. Over the course of his ski industry career he has worked for a variety of different companies, doing everything from driver and chalet assistant, to managing the maintenance and logistics for a resort of over 30 properties.

About Us

We started Ice and Fire with the desire to put everything which we had learnt into practice to create a small company which guests and staff alike could have confidence in, and we have been doing it ever since. Between us we have over 17 years experience in every imaginable role and truly believe we know what it takes to make a really good ski holiday.
