This picture, taken from the Grand Rochette webcam at 9.10am 20th October shows the proper snowfall that we’ve all been waiting for. And it’s finally here!
Over the last couple of weeks we’ve had regular occasional small snow falls but we’ve all been waiting for a big dump to start the season off with a bang. And arrive it did overnight last night.
The snowfall extends down to 1600m and higher up it has formed the start of a base layer on the runs. Temperatures have dropped as well hopefully ensuring that it’ll stay until the season now.
Just waiting for the lifts to open – soooo excited!
